Farrah A. Belizaire, MS, Assoc. Dir of Diversity & Inclusion, BU School of Medicine
Farrah Belizaire is a 2011 graduate of Sargent College, where she earned a BS in Health Science and a 2013 graduate of MET, where she earned an MS in Administrative Studies – concentrating in innovation and technology. She joined GMS in 2018 as Manager of Diversity and Inclusion, and is responsible for developing and implementing programs and strategies that promote diversity and inclusion as it relates to recruitment and retention of underrepresented students, including taking an active role in developing pipeline programs. Farrah is also responsible for building diverse, equitable, and inclusive communities across GMS, as well as increasing the visibility of diversity of GMS to outside communities.
Mary Bartlett, Director of External Affairs, NewYorkBIO
Mary Bartlett is the Director of External Affairs for NewYorkBIO, an association that supports the development and growth of New York State’s life science industry, and the life science community by providing a network for public policy, industry advocacy, and community development. She manages stakeholder relations and works on NewYorkBIO’s DE&I and patient engagement initiatives. Previously, she served as the State Director of Advocacy & Access at the Arthritis Foundation. As a state lobbyist, Mary has represented Fortune 500 companies, energy providers, pharmaceutical companies, and nonprofit organizations.
Jordyne Blaise, JD, Director of Diversity Equity and Inclusion, Bluebird Bio
Jordyne Blaise, Esq., is a renowned diversity, inclusion, and equity consultant and strategist. She works with organizations interested in making their vision for equity and inclusion a reality. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in English, with a minor in African American studies, and her Juris Doctor from Georgetown University in Washington, DC. Jordyne’s expertise in diversity change management comes from her work with various companies and organizations including Harvard Law School, NC State University and the District of Columbia Government. She is current Director of Diversity Equity and Inclusion at a biotech company based out of Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Irfan Khan, MD, CEO, Circuit Clinical
Dr. Irfan Khan is a cardiologist, clinical researcher, and founder & CEO of Circuit Clinical®, one of the fastest growing Integrated Research Organizations in the USA. Over the last five years he has overseen Circuit Clinical’s growth to more than 2.5 million patients, involving 40+ multi-specialty physician practices across New York and New Jersey, and partnering with multiple Accountable Care Organizations. Dr. Khan is a board-certified cardiac electrophysiologist who has served as a principal investigator on both therapeutic and device clinical trials for more than a decade. He also serves on MEDTECH’s Governmental and Public Policy Advisory Committee and is a member of the Western New York COVID-19 Research Collaborative Steering Committee.
