Leveraging Outsourced Partners in 2022: How to Scale Faster w/ Less Risk
November 16, 2021 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am
Do I rent or buy, hire or contract, outsource or insource? Some of the hardest decisions growing biotechs face are those that require a significant time investment or commit capital long-term. Early-stage biotech companies have special operational, regulatory, skill, and financial considerations. Experience and quality of care are crucial characteristics when trusting parts of your research to an outsourced service. Understanding when and how to leverage outsourced partners can help biotechs achieve preclinical milestones faster and increase investor attractiveness.
This discussion will cover:
- How to analyze financial and growth considerations for leasing versus building research space
- Contracting vs. hiring – balancing internal hires with flexible, temporary support
- How to weigh quality, speed, and cost factors when choosing outsourced partners
- A case study from a biotech that combined outsourcing with in-house control to grow faster
- Outsourced research partners that support preclinical research and when to leverage them
